When Ian Huntley is convicted, and the signs are that he will be, I for one would not care a hoot if he himself where
put to death - very slowly.
His crime for me is one of the worst possible. To murder two young girls in cold blood. There is nothing worse he could do
in my eyes.
Sadly, our criminal justice system all too often lets us down. We can only hope that is not the case here.
When he does eventually slip the mortal coil, I hope he is persecuted for ever in hell.
He is truly scum, filthy rotten vile scum.

Anyway, this is an extract:
'Hey Russ,
I've never actually had a chance to chat with you before. I just wanted to
tell you that I really like what you write. It's an interesting
perspective.. and well, let's just say you speak what I think :)'
Thanks 'K'
Mucho appreciated!
She went on to tell me she had added me to her Bogro....ahem, I mean Blogroll. Now that I like!!!!!!!!!

So What Exactly Do We Have Against G W Bush?
posted by Blogman on 14/11/2003 at 22:28 GMT
|
You know, the anti-Bush campaign has gathered so much momentum across various sites, that I thought I would try and bring together a series of thoughts from around the web and various sites, so that if anyone can't see the problem with GWB, then maybe they will after they have read a few facts. So, here goes:
to further his own agenda.
over and over
and over.
Hey folks, its not just us Brits nor everyone who thinks like this, listen to these:-
"I voted for George Bush during the last election. Even though I disagree with some of his decisions and actions regarding areas such as the environment, he is a head of state and a close friend of Britain and should be accorded the respect due him when he visits Britain. I would suggest to all those would-be protesters that they turn their efforts inward and concentrate on fixing problems within Britain instead of worrying about the US."
Michael Charlton, Whispering Pines, USA
"I am disgusted that Bush is coming. I have lived in the UK for over 20 years and am getting so that some days I find it hard to go out, I am so ashamed of my country. Every bomb that kills an Iraqi child has been paid for by taking away education and healthcare from an American child. Nice work and welcome to Britain, Mr President."
Magda, Oldham, UK (US citizen)
You know, the Iraq people and especially the children, get forgotten about in all of this, as though they are second class compared to US and UK civilians
"Isn't it time you Brits learned the difference between anarchy and free speech?"
Fran Eldred, Louis, MS, USA
"As this thoughtful exchange of prejudices gets increasingly polarised, may I assure my own American friends that when I go marching next Thursday, I will not be protesting against America the country, or George W Bush the person - but specifically against the unprincipled, illegal adventure he led his country into by invading Iraq? I will also, just as fervently, be protesting at the way Tony, his enthusiastic crony, threw my own country into that war too: at a time when opinion polls suggested that 60% of us here opposed it. "
John Bull, England
Then there is his record on environmental issues. Not good. Not good at all.
Then we have the Guantanamo Bay scenario.
The Diebold saga, makes for very interesting reading you know.
Mmmm, this one stinks.
In my line of work, if you have cause to believe someone is laundering money and you do nothing, you can be prosecuted. It is a shame that the Government don't adopt the same standards.
Special thanks to Manic at Bloggerheads for the pevious posts above .
So, there you have just a few reminders. You want more? Well, let me know then!
But in any event, go and sign the petition to keep Bush out!

You know, I cannot stand this guy. Never could, never will. Maybe because I'm a lilly livered Liberal? I don't think so. He's just a twat.
And not just because he looks so smug, either, though he does.
He's just a twat.
Tell you what, have a read of quotes from him and see if you don't smirk, go on, why don't you. The first yellow highlighted box is the best giggle.
He's just a twat.

Well, we made heavy weather of it but we managed to get by - eventually. A friend of mine at the office told me before the World Cup that we were awesome and he'd never seen an England team in any sport with such a strong chance of living up to the hype.
Thank god we are English and we didn't live up to the hype - that way we all know were we stand, right?
I can cope with the despair, its the hope that kills me!

While I was reading about various bits and pieces this morning, I came across an entry in George Bush's "Blog" relating to a piece written by Jeff Jacoby of the Minneapolis Start Tribune, relating to our old friend, Mr Bush. You can read this
here and make of it what you will.
The bit that interests me, is the following: "The Baathist diehards and Islamist car-bombers understand that everything is on the line. They know that if the Americans succeed in planting freedom and decency in the Arab world, they are finished."
Planting freedom and decency? HAH!! Some bloody joke. Is that why we went to war? What a bloody world.

Do they believe this crap?

Oh my good god. This sends shivers down my spine. World domination?
An article from George's Blog again, reads:
"More Praise for President Bush's Vision for Democracy in the Middle East
Gregg Easterbrook, on what President Bush's address to the National Endowment for Democracy means for the future of American foreign policy:
"Forget the politics; just read the words. The United States has now declared that it will not rest until the entire world is free. History will say: Thank God for the United States.
And consider that the last time this nation gambled with history-- Ronald Reagan's hugely risky decision to drive the Soviet monolith into collapse--the result was unqualified triumph for world peace, for human liberty, and for the people we hoped to free. If American intervention in Iraq actually does plant freedom in the Arab world, history will call this a magnificent hour."
How come now we are talking about "American Intervention" in Iraq? What happened to the WMD threat talk?
Be afraid - be VERY afraid.

Co-incidence? Or Fate?

This was sent to me this morning by "pat, the ex-pat". It seems incredible but it is true, apparently.
I will be verifying the authenticity of the facts later.
Anyway, this is the text............
Some presidential history. Look what happens when a President gets elected
in a year with a "0" at the end. Also notice it goes in increments of 20
years.
- 1840: William Henry Harrison (died in office)
- 1860: Abraham Lincoln (assassinated)
- 1880: James A. Garfield (assassinated)
- 1900: William McKinley (assassinated)
- 1920: Warren G. Harding (died in office)
- 1940: Franklin D. Roosevelt (dies in office)
- 1960: John F. Kennedy (assassinated)
- 1980: Ronald Reagan (survived assassination attempt)
- 2000: George W. Bush ????????????
And to think that we had two guys fighting it out in the courts to be the
one elected in 2000.
You might also be interested in this.
Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can.
- Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
- John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
- Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
- John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
- Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
- Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
- Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
- Both Presidents were shot in the head.
Now it gets really weird.
- Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
- Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.
- Both were assassinated by Southerners.
- Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
- Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
- Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
- John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
- Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
- Both assassins were known by their three names.
- Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
Now hang on to your seat.
- Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
- Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford.'
- Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
- Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.
- Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here's the kicker...
- A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland
- A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.
Creepy huh?
