Dervman - Ford Ka freak! |
Thursday 23 October You know, I had such an underwhelming response to my request yesterday, that I am begging today - anyone.....please? I don't know about anyone else, but I suddenly seem to be busy all over the place. Leaves me little time to Blog. However! I have a cunning plan! If I install my FTPsoftware at work, I could Blog from my desk, great!! Now you must admit, this is a step in the right direction! Shame it couldn't be the real thing in that pot, don't you think? Posted by BlogMan - 7.20 am And a sobering reminder to us all, that we need to take care with e-mails!! Posted by BlogMan - 7.24 am Great "free" world we live in, eh? Are they gonna call on me too for showing this? Posted by BlogMan - 7.28 am Hey! It's my birthday soon! One month of blogging! Met some good souls on here too. Does the world realise we exist? Dunno but time to get to the office. Later and have a nice one (whatever it is that you are doing today!) Note to myself - GET A BLOODY ARCHIVE PAGE YOU MORON!. Thank you Russ Wednesday 22 October
Good day people. You know, I never knew how many people bother to check this page until I checked my stats last night. Hey guys - thanks for coming!!! Now, first of all, I am jealous. Very jealous. Some long established Bloggers have some fancy whizz bang code stuff, that means people can post replies to their comments - and I want it - and I want it NOW!! - ok? Look, I'm new to all this malarky but love it, so if some kind soul would like to drop me an e-mail and point me in the right direction, that would be ever so jolly, don't you think? Thank you. Posted by BlogMan - 7.25 am Oh heck, just as I get into my stride, I have to take the kids to school - justice, what justice! I need more hours please, just for a couple of weeks, could we all work to a 30 hour day please? Mmm? Posted by BlogMan - 7.30 am Catch you all later peeps. Tuesday 21 October No blogging yesterday and no prospect this morning, too busy, early start and all that. Pleased to say I resolved my differences from last week at work. I am also looking around at what is happening in the world and am desperate to post some stuff but am out of time already. More this afternoon. Oh yes, and I must sort out some archive pages! Posted by BlogMan - 6.50 am
Friday 17 October Heck, what happened to Thursday?
Here is the T-Shirt picture promised Thats me cutting my nails in the middle with the T-Shirt on - cute, eh? This was taken on Wednesday night at our gig at Fibbers Posted by BlogMan - 7.27 am
Wednesday 15 October Good day to you all. Not much blogging likely to go on today (again!) - sorry. The Growlers are playing tonight, big gig for us, in York, so too excited to Blog!! Funjunkie, has kindly linked from his site to The Growlers site, so you may see tonight on webcam wearing a Funjunkie shirt. I say maybe, as I don't know if it will catch me, I will be wearing it though!! Tuesday 14 October Mmm, this is a surprise.............not! For eccentric, substitute, concerned citizen. Posted by BlogMan - 7.13 am More tomorrow peeps, too much to do today. Still trying to sort the office out from Friday! Enjoy Tuesday y'all!! Monday 13 October Heck, Monday already! Note to myself - write an archive page! Posted by BlogMan - 7.13 am After the events of Friday in the office, not in the mood to blog this morning, troubled mind can't focus. I'm sure there will be more on that tomorrow. Have a nice day y'awll! Posted by BlogMan - 7.15 am Aha! Found a couple of minutes to try and relax. Anyone else find this a bit scary and yet impressive? Good luck to them both is what I say. Posted by BlogMan - 7.48 am You know, sometimes I feel so insignificant. Gotta feel for parents when something like this happens. Posted by BlogMan - 7.50 am And, whilst I am a complete Ferrari nut, after the story above, I canot feel sorry for Schumi. Must be tough earning all that money and having to test, go to dinners, fulfil sponsorship deals and so on. He should try a 9 to 5, then he would know exhausted!!! Sunday 12 October
Ah, nice! Posted by BlogMan - Noon
Saturday 11 October
So, what's new in my world? Well, I was delighted to see yesterday, that Tim over at Bloggerheads has put a link from his site to my humble little spot, thanks Tim.Hope anyone reading this anew will keep coming back as I get into my stride. My site is only very young and I only came across blogging about a month ago. Feel free to e-mail me with views and - oh - the next bit is about work, not a request re: critiscism! Posted by BlogMan - 7.40 am No chance of any blogging yesterday - bad, bad day. I like people to be constructive in critiscism, rather than - thats crap, that doesn't work and so on - sadly, one of my colleagues doesn't think the same. Still, thats life I guess but it still gets to me. Those same people can say what they like but if you try the same back, they become overly aggresive and increasingly nasty, I'm sure you have all had such experiences. Not that I shy away from such fights, just that I don't see the need for them in the first place. Fuck 'em. Posted by BlogMan - 7.35 am
I am a huge F1 fan and an even bigger Ferrari UPDATE. Ah, now I understand Ferraris prob! The weather!! Seems final qualifying was a little damp!! Posted by BlogMan - 7.50 am I think I need an archive page!
Posted by BlogMan - 8.15 am Just read this on Bloggerheads page about Napalm. Now this raises lots of questions in my mind. Like, if the US have such weapons and will use them, why can't SH have 'em? If the US have WMD, why should we trust them? After all, they did just put Arnie in office!! How much firepower do they really have? We have an American Base near us, The Menwith Hill listening station. Now, this base is shrouded in secrecy. Anyone working there cannot and must not tell you what they do. If it is just a listening station, why can't they? AND - how come the Americans can run the base on their own terms, without any intervention form the Brits? On our soil? Makes me puke it does. Posted by BlogMan - 8.15 am Now this is chilling. Who do you blame?
Posted by BlogMan - 8.25 am Ha, ha, ha - I really despair sometimes. My colleagues at work laugh at me when I get going but someone has to say certain things. This article is interesting enough. Its the very last paragraph that amuses me though. John Mellencamps song "Pink House" seems to me, to be getting at America, yet these troops clearly think it is lamenting the fact that they are not there at the moment!! Sheesh. Is it me? Posted by BlogMan - 8.30 am
Thursday 9 October There comes a time when you put your hands in the air and say - oops, got this one wrong - I think. New evidence? Er, proof please? Never disarmed? Is she nuts? Having ambitions, it seems, now constitutes a world wide threat. I better get my bread and water rations ready then coz they'll be coming for me next. What a bunch of fucking morons. Posted by BlogMan - 7.00 am Understand that this may be linked in some way to the Leeds Utd "Lay By" incident................ Posted by BlogMan - 6:45 am Hey! Is this guy related to Arnie at all? Sure seems to enjoy his job................ Posted by BlogMan - 6:45 am Wednesday 8 October Hey! This reminds me of England Too!! Tip from Blogman - DON'T DRIVE IN TURKEY!
Posted by BlogMan - 7.30 am
Not just in England either, seems that our "friends" over the pond have their fair share of troubles too.
OK, here is one which we all know about - how many of us do it though? Tsk, tsk, naughty naughty.
Posted by BlogMan - 7.20 am
Well, call me draconian if you wish, but do you think that
four years is really enough? No, me neither.
Part of the problem seems to lie here, in the sentencing. Its the "maximum sentence" paragraph that upsets me most - should me much longer.

I was made aware of this scam yesterday, thanks Jamie, so be warned!
Car Thieves Stealing Your Car:
It seems that car thieves have found another way
to steal your car or van without any effort at all.
The car thieves peer through the windscreen of
your car or truck, write down the VIN number from
the label on the dash, go to the local car dealership
and request a duplicate key based on the VIN number.
The car dealer's parts dept. will make a duplicate key
from the VIN number and collect payment from the thief
who will return to your car. He doesn't have to break in,
do any damage to the vehicle, or draw attention to himself.
All he has to do is to walk up to yourcar, insert the key
and off he goes to a local chop shop with your vehicle.
You don't believe it? It is that easy.
To avoid this from happening to you, simply put
some tape (electrical tape, duct tape or medical tape)
across the VIN label located on the dash board.
By law, you cannot remove the VIN number, but you
can cover it so it can't be viewed through the windscreen
by a car thief. I urge you to forward this to your friends before
some other car thief steals another car or van.

Tuesday 7 October
Well, guess what? Another virus on my desktop! I think I have blasted the little critter this time but does anyone else get these things too?

Monday 6 October
Good day to all and welcome to a new week!
I have decided to "launch" my campaign this week, so here is a view of what it will be about.
What I have in mind, is harnessing the power of the internet and its users "en masse", to
try and change government policy on roads and traffic behaviour.
Inside lane empty
Now a lot of drivers currently get around this problem, by driving down the inside and cutting back in.
This is illegal, as well as being very dangerous.
So, how do we solve this problem?
Build more roads?
No, that just tends to push vehicles into the outer two lanes, you've seen it yourself, I'm sure.
So, a campaign is needed, to tell people to "GET PAST - GET IN" - or something similar. In other words to use the lanes properly!
Additionally, the police need to concentrate more resources on policing how we drive, instead of just taking
the easy money spinning route of nabbing people for speeding.
I think such a campaign would free up a lot of our roads, simply by using the available space more efficiently.
So, there you have it. Any takers?

Saturday 4 October
So, did my day get better yesterday? Suprising no one with the answer - no - let me explain why (briefly).
My Broadband connection is now working fine (fingers crossed everybody), so, at least I can "play".
However, yesterday at the office, I suffered a couple of further bouts of "gotcha" from the f..k up fairies.
Firstly - and this is the worst - my bacon and egg sarnie never arrived, despite parting with cash and someone going for it - serious stuff this.
Then I lost my jacket, with my car keys in it. It turned up in the laides loo. AND, before you think it - NO - I had not been loitering in there!!
Anyway, whilst looking for said jacket, my fist accidentally rammed into a filing cabinet drawer, bending it - still works mind.
THEN, on the way home my car radio packs up! A 3 month old german car and the bloody radio packs up - sheesh!
By the time I got home, kids to bed, wish wife a good night out on the town, I was good for nothing.
Lets hope Saturday is a little better!
Friday 3 October
Over at Bloggerheads, Tim Ireland is starting or, more correctly, trying to start and steer a campaign to right wrongs by Blogging with a passive resistance movement, excellent stuff, but he needs a name, so any suggestions? If so, drop a note to Tim.
You know how sometimes, you feel like the machinery is getting at you and having a laugh? Well, in the last two weeks, I have had two nasty virus's on my two desktop machines at home, as well as my laptop.
Additionally, my printer ceased to work, despite my best attempts to rectify this (which included some very technical shouting and threatened actual physical abuse - both to no avail, by the way), I only got it working last night.
However, my scanner, refuses to work - still.
Buggar me, then last night, I settle down for a night's fun at the newly restored PC and guess what - my broadband line was down all night!!
I am, therefore, a little pissed off at present!

Thursday 2 October
Anybody who reads this page (is there anyone who actually does, I wonder?), should go immediately to
to sign up for Tim Irelands campaign - come on chaps - stand up and be counted!!!
Only in America could this happen.
Can somebody tell them about the maxim "Horses for courses" please?
Posted by BlogMan - 7.20 am
Well, I guess this is a start!
I actually have a lot of mixed feelings about this topic. On the one hand, such people are obviously in need and yet they alienate themselves from society by doing what they do.

As a Leeds supporter, Despite this, on the face of it, shiny CV, its true to say, I hate this guy and more so for the smug expression on the gits face.
